The process of manually submerging the cap of skins and solids into the must during fermentation to prevent drying out and to extract colour and tannins.

Punt

It is the dent at the bottom of a glass bottle.

Racking

Winemaking Process

The process of moving the wine from one container to another, so the sediment is removed.

Red Wine

Type of wine that is made from red or black grapes, where grape juice is fermented together with the grape skin.

Residual Sugar

The unfermented sugar remaining in a wine.

Rosé

Type of Wine

Wine with a pink hue, made from red grapes.

Secondary Fermentation

The second fermentation that usually happens after transferring the wine to a different container.
